Dreaming of Paris is an independent travel website. Some pages contain affiliate links or booking widgets. If you click one of these links and complete a booking or purchase, we may earn a commission. The price you pay is not increased because of our commission.
Current affiliate partners
The site currently uses affiliate relationships that include Booking.com for accommodation and GetYourGuide for tours, tickets and activities. Not every external link on Dreaming of Paris is an affiliate link.
How we identify affiliate content
Articles containing affiliate links or booking widgets include a short disclosure near the beginning of the article. We also mark affiliate links technically with the appropriate sponsored relationship attribute where applicable.
The aim is to make the commercial relationship understandable before a reader acts on a recommendation. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission advises that material connections should be disclosed clearly and conspicuously and, for affiliate links, as close as practical to the recommendation. You can read the FTC guidance here.
Editorial independence
Affiliate revenue does not buy a positive opinion. We aim to recommend an attraction, ticket type, neighborhood or accommodation option because it is relevant to the traveler described in the article. When an official source is more useful than a commercial booking link, we use the official source.
Prices, availability, cancellation rules and product descriptions shown by a booking partner are controlled by that partner and can change. Readers should check the final conditions on the booking provider’s website before paying.
Tracking and cookies
Affiliate systems may use identifiers or cookies to attribute a booking to the referring website. GetYourGuide states that its partner tracking currently uses a first-party attribution cookie and describes a 31-day attribution period. See the GetYourGuide Partner Resource Center for its current explanation. When you leave Dreaming of Paris for a partner website, that partner’s own privacy and cookie policies apply.
